This semester’s subject was set in cooperation between the Faculty and the municipality authorities. In response to the growing problem of insufficient parking spaces in and near the historic part of the city students were asked to tackle this important topic as a competition. The site is located in the immediate vicinity of the Voivodeship Office. Accordingly our objective was to preserve as much of the area’s identity as a civic public space as possible. We achieved this by leveraging technology to combine the conventional parking model with automated parking. As a result we created 412 parking spaces next to a thriving public space.
